Text: John 6:1–14
Date: 15 March 2026 | 4th Sunday of Lent
Church of the Resurrection, Huntington, WV (churchoftheresurrectionwv.com)
Description:
In John 6:1–14, Jesus feeds a vast crowd in the wilderness with five loaves and two fish. But as John tells us, this miracle is more than an act of compassion—it is a sign. What does it point to? Better, to whom?
This sermon explores how the feeding of the five thousand reveals the identity of Jesus Christ. He is the deeper miracle of the story.
As we follow the movement of the text—from need, to testing, to satisfaction—we are invited to acknowledge our own hunger and feast on the true Bread of Life.
