A Covenant is more than just an agreement between people and/or organizations. It is about relationship, blood, and death. Yes, blood and death. In the Old Testament people understood that making a covenant was about the relationship they had with the person and blood had to be spilled if the covenant was to be enforced. To enact a covenant someone or thing had to spill it's blood. The only way you could get out of a covenant without repercussions was death. However, with every covenant there were promises and stipulations. The covenant Jesus made with the Father in our behalf was enacted by Jesus' blood being spilled and His death fulfilling the Old Covenant. WHAT ARE THE PROMISES OF THE NEW COVENANT?
Jesus Christ is the most influential man that has ever lived. His impact on the world is unmatched. But with that fame and influence people can take Him for granted. However, when He speaks to you and reveals His everlasting love to you, you will never be the same. He will give you a passion that spares no expense, it disregards public opinion, and holds nothing back. With that kind of passion we can change the world. Regardless of how evil it may seem. With Jesus there is always hope.

Jesus came to serve and not be served. That's what He told His disciples over 2000 years ago and He is still telling us to do the same. Even in the Old Testament the nation of Israel rose to the occasion to serve one another when they were under the onslaught of the enemy. The Prophet Nehemiah call God's people to rise up and build. They were to build the wall at their own home and make sure they served and worked with each other to insure the safety of the entire nation. We are to do no less but greater than they did as followers of Jesus Christ.

Our world has gone insane, crazy, and losing it's collective mind. Good is evil and evil is good. Right is wrong and wrong is right. Up is down and down is up. The world has been turned upside down. As followers of Jesus how are we to live in the days of evil? Simply put, look at Jesus. Keep our eyes on Him. Listen to Him. Walk with Him. Converse with Him. His strength, His Joy, His Hope, His peace will guard our heart and mind, if we Look at Him.
