The soul is made up of three parts, the mind, will, and emotions.  Our mind is the seat of our understanding and comprehension.  The scriptures tell us to renew our mind.  Renewing is not a one time event but an ongoing one.  Our minds do get "dirty".  Just like our bodies do and when they do we clean them.  We must do the same with our minds.  How do we do that.  Over the next several weeks Pastor Allen will walk us through the different things that God has set up for us in the scriptures to help us do that and have the mind of Christ in us.

Humility is almost non-existent in our current American culture.  Why?  Because, our culture has bought into the lie that it's all about "me".  Humility is not the same thing as humiliation.  Humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less and seeing others and their needs before your own.  Jesus, exemplified this everyday of His life while He walked this earth.  Even when He was faced with certain death and questions of who He was.  In humility Jesus spoke truth but never once did He try and defend Himself.  Why?
