We conclude our series on the Holy Spirit by remembering the final work of Jesus' Spirit.

God gives us his Spirit to teach us his will and his ways. What does it look like to live in and by the Spirit?

In all things, God has given us a Helper and Advocate in Jesus to convict us, move us into righteousness, and give us true hope.

In the midst of injustice, racism, and suffering going on in our world, we still have hope. We celebrate Pentecost by remembering that God's Holy Spirit made his people into a global, universal Church. Jesus will be praised by every tribe, every nation, and every tongue, and he invites us into that life of multicultural mission.

The gift of Jesus' Holy Spirit is also God's promise that we have unlimited access to him. We no longer are bound by judgment and fear, but are freed to come before a loving Father.

In this time of shelter in place, we often feel our loneliness. Jesus reminds us of his own presence, God's Holy Spirit, who has been in loving existence since creation's birth, and who resides with us and within us even now.

Our God will use all things to restore justice and goodness to his world. Even injustice, he will use — as we have seen in the work of Jesus on the cross.
