The Ascension of Jesus isn't a story about Him going away to heaven like a super hero, but an incredible claim on our lives today.

In this last week of Eastertide, and the final chapters of the book of Revelation we see a picture of reality coming forward to meet us even now, here in South Austin. God is making all things new through His son Jesus, and we are invited to participate in His goodness.

In Revelation we get to see the truest reality, where all worth is acrid to Jesus. What does that mean for us today?

If Jesus wasn't raised from the dead Saint Paul says that Christians should be most pitied! But in fact, Jesus was raised. He's alive! And it changes everything. Listen to Father Shawn talk about how the Resurrection of Jesus signals God's new project to make all things new.

Psalm 63 prays, "O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water."

Psa. 27:4    One thing I asked of the LORD,

that will I seek after:

to live in the house of the LORD

all the days of my life,

to behold the beauty of the LORD,

and to inquire in his temple.

Psa. 91:9 Because you have made the LORD your refuge,

the Most High your dwelling place,

10 no evil shall befall you,

no scourge come near your tent.

This fourth week of Lent we ask the question, "what is wealth and what is it for?" as we learn to pray as the psalmist does, "Lord, Restore our fortunes."
