Jesus was dead. His body was laid into a tomb on that Friday. On Sunday night his disciples were huddled in a room terrified of the Jewish leaders. Then, everything changed. Jesus appeared and showed them the scars and wounds from the cross. He proved he really rose from the dead, and beat sin and death in body and spirit. That started a movement of God's story of redemption that has changed the world --Jesus was alive.
