Today we are joined by Matt Tierney, Manager, National Retail Investigation Support Unit at New Zealand Police.  The National Retail Investigation Support Unit is an internal police unit and was established in November 2021 with an aim to target recidivist offenders who are offending in multiple locations across the county.  Nationally, the unit partners with the retail sector and crime prevention organisations and works with Police staff at a district level to assist them to specifically target offenders causing the greatest harm to the retail sector, its staff, and customers.  The NRISU is coming up to their 2 year anniversary so a good time for an update.

Today we are joined by Inspector Julian Coram from South Australia Police.  More often than not, we are seeing crimes being committed in the retail sector, whether that be theft of product, ram raids, customer violence or organised retail crime, so when we saw that SA Police were tackling crime head on and keeping retail staff safe, we thought it would be good to learn more about Operation Measure.
