It's called The Distortion Theory.

In this episode, I'm introducing a framework that explains why Christianity sounds so different from what it's supposed to be. As an audio engineer, I've learned that a clean signal can sound completely different, even unrecognizable, when it's pushed through a distorted delivery system.

The same thing has happened to Christianity.

The Christianity you've heard has been distorted. It's been pushed through a broken delivery system that added shame, fear, and control that weren't in the original message.

I hate the phrase "Everything happens for a reason."

You know why? Because it doesn't actually answer the question you're really asking:

Why does God allow suffering?

This is the hardest question in Christianity. And most of the answers we've been given? They make the pain worse.
