Camping is a lot of fun the closer you are to home. Cornville, AZ is about two hours north of Phoenix and presents some of the nicest campgrounds in the nation. We are staying at Lo Lo Mai Campground just outside Cornville.

We’re heading to Cornville, AZ early next week for a seven day outting. Nothing special or exotic, just good old fashion camping. Come on along.

RRs march to the peak of this popular mountain in Mesa AZ. Joined by daughters, Kimberly and Samantha, these senior, senior, seniors accented and descended the mountain in record time (hours). All is well that ends....

Achy Breaky Heart performer, Billy Ray Cyrus was Samantha’s favorite when she was a small child. We also discuss various aspects of the pandemic immunization process.

The RRs live almost 2,000 miles from their birthplace; the home of dozens of their relatives. We prefer the relaxed, we-have-plenty-of-time trip, but we have to consider the rushed trip after a dreadful phone call.

At 87, Kirby is suffering major medical problems and is being transferred from Herrin Hospital to Barnes in St Louis. His young sister, Marylou is celebrating her 84th birthday Both are Southern Illinois natives. We love our visit with them.

On this beautiful Labor Day, the RRs remembers the tremendous value of union membership. Evelyn’s grandfather, Evan Neal and Joe’s father, Barney Browning, plus several other family members, were/and are members of The United Mineworkers of America’s. The RRs remembers the benefits to their families because of union membership.

The RRs are finalizing preparations to hit the road full time. Tasks include the sale of their home, the sale of one of their vehicles and the donation of excess “stuff.”
