On this episode, we spotlight the incredibly talented actor Leslie Nielsen! We'll chat about some of his earlier straight man work, but spend the bulk of our energies on his comedic stuff. "THE NAKED GUN", "POLICE SQUAD" and of course "AIRPLANE" are all comedy classics!

In other words... it’s the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the orange bowl on New Year’s Day.

Later on, we take turns paying tribute to some awesome independent artists that we think deserve your patronage!

Raise a chalice, Dork-Vania has arrived!

For our part, Retro Ridoctopus is concentrating on the seminal music of the series--each of us having handpicked double-shots of music for your listening pleasure. And since it is most definitely a horrible night for a curse, we welcome aboard the Boy Wonderful himself, Ian Wallace from Amalga-Mania!

Later on, Parasite Steve will be spotlighting another indie book in Curtis Lawson's pull-no-punches, "BLACK HEART BOYS' CHOIR".

For our first bonus episode, 8-Bit Alchemy and Parasite Steve discuss their feelings about the (not so classic) NES game, The Battle of Olympus. If you like pixelated bewbs, having no idea where to go next or enjoy paying for things in olives, then this might just be the game for you.

This week, the Retro Ridoctopus cephalopodcast pays tribute to a true comic genius. Terry Jones wasn't just 1/6 of the legendary Monty Python, he was a writer, historian, director, famed Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian møvies (I think). So get ready for some bad accents and some even worse impressions because on this episode, we go through the 4 Python films, remembering and celebrating them as only fans can.

A bit later on, we'll ask this week's OCTOPONDER THIS question: "What existing female role would you like to see played by Terry Jones in drag?". And to round things out, Nintenjoe presents a brand new segment for 2020 that'll leave you asking "What You Say?".

And stay tuned for our preview of The Dorkening's mega crossover event, DORK-VANIA!

On this episode, the Retro Ridoctopus Cephalopodcast is joined in studio by the Duke of Deadpan, Derek Loftrom (winner of the "Submit a topic for a season 2" contest). Together, we take a trip down the cereal aisles of time and space to highlight some of our favorite killer (and not so killer) American breakfast cereals! There a bit of history involved and a quiz at the end of the week, so be sure to take notes.

A bit later on, we'll ask this week's OCTOPONDER THIS question: "What cereal makes your favorite milk?". And to round things out, 8-bit Alchemy is gonna present you with a bit of squirm with his new segment "Uncomfortable Nature Facts"!

No mystery here, gang... on this episode of the Retro Ridoctopus Cephalopodcast, we'll be aiming our flashlights on the American animation giant, Hanna Barbera! Host Nintenjoe starts out with a little studio history, before we dive right into into playing blocks of cartoon theme songs from 8 of our favorite shows!

Later, this week's "Octoponder THIS" will ask which classic Hanna Barbera toon you'd like to see a reboot of before Boss Rush Mode ends things with a brand new hockey themed segment he has dubbed "The Puck Stops Here."

On this episode of the Retro Ridoctopus Cephalopodcast, we are all about our own personal experiences with the premier kid's network, Nickelodeon! 8-Bit Alchemy leads the discussion as we all choose 2 or 3 of our most beloved shows, complete with theme songs!

Later, this week's "Octoponder THIS" will literally splat you right in the face, so watch out for that. And finally, to close everything out, Parasite Steve spotlights the dark coming of age novella "Friends in High Places" by Rob Smales for a brand new segment called "Bookshelf of the Damned"!

On this episode of the Retro Ridoctopus Cephalopodcast, we bring the pew pew and a little rock and roll with a spotlight on the popular Mega Man series! Capcom's blue boy wonder has starred in more games, across more consoles than we can cram into a single episode, that's why for our first episode of season 2, host Parasite Steve has decided to concentrate on the original 6 entries for the Nintendo Entertainment System!

Later, we'll ask you to "Get Wily With It" to come up with your own, original ROBOT MASTER for this week's "Octoponder THIS". And to close out the episode, Nintenjoe snags the mic to highlight another underrated metal band in a segment we call "Power To The Metal"!

On and don't miss as Boss Rush Mode delivers his final "Peeve Pet", mercilessly breaking down the unmitigated excess of the 12 Days of Christmas!

Thanks for a great year, everyone!

Alternate intro "Retrogtagon" by: Tino The San-Man

An underappreciated 80s gem, Captain Power and The Soldiers of the Future was definitely ahead of its time. Written by J. Michael Straczynski, this surprisingly dark, post apocalyptic series was aimed at both kids and adults but struggled to find an audience. We discuss the show, the VHS tapes and the brilliant line of interactive toys!

Later, for the last "Octoponder THIS" of the season, we ask for your favorite short lived TV show. And to close out the episode, Boss Rush Mode lets us know how he really feels about certain types of band logos in another edition of Petting Those Peeves!
