    Steve from Retro Man Blog chats to Serge and Gabriela from French Boutik and Bobby from Dr Bird about their influences, favourite songs and musical histories. We start off with their recent collaboration, along with Toby from Tiny Flaws and percusionist Graham Lentz at the Pelton Arms in Greenwich and from that throughly entertaining afternoon show, play an exclusive live version of "This Is London", Bobby's English language version of French Boutik's classic "Ici Paris". Along the way we talk about the impact of Punk Rock and New Wave, the Mod Revival and Britpop - of political Pop songs, music genres, the differences between Paris and London's live music scenes and much more besides.     Buddy Ascott from The Chords joins me, Steve from Retro Man Blog to discuss the band's new definitive 5CD retrospective "Re-Chordings 1978-1981" box set. In this episode Buddy reads some extracts from his liner notes and plays a couple of rare Chords tracks from the box set. There's news of two upcoming launch parties to promote the release and he looks back on his successful Budstock birthday party at the 100 Club. My Retro Man Blog & Retrosonic Podcast colleague rock photographer Paul Slattery, talks to Lee McFadden about his brand new book of Joy Division photography out now via Legends Publishing. The book not only includes his iconic photo session of the band outside Strawberry Studios in Stockport but also from the Stuff The Superstars gig that very evening along with rare shots of their headline show at the Electric Ballroom in London. In this entertaining episode Paul also discusses his partnership with music journalist Dave McCullough for Sounds magazine and the excellent work done by the Stockport Museum in preserving the legacy of Strawberry Studios.
