Down Gilead Lane is one of the most spiritually deep audio dramas due to Beth Culp’s well-written episodes dealing with mature themes. Today’s episode, 37 (3-8), “Beauty and the Beast Within,” is one of those shows, covering the themes of pornography, lust, and self-image. Michael and Ryan take an extended session to review the ways the Morrison parents broach the issues with their kids, how pornography affects marriage, both sides of lustful images for men and women, the Biblical meaning of modesty and C.S. Lewis’s insights on the subject, and how all these topics are woven masterfully into a children’s dramatization.
