Story Transcript:

Ar: كانت السماء زرقاء صافية مع إشعاع الشمس الشتوية على واجهة البحر الأبيض المتوسط في الإسكندرية.
En: The sky was a clear blue with the radiance of the winter sun on the waterfront of the Mediterranean Sea in Alexandria.

Ar: كان الهواء محملًا بقطرات باردة تعانق كل من بهافها، حيث يتجول الناس في الواجهة البحرية، متدثرين بالمعاطف.
En: The air was laden with cold droplets embracing everyone who was there, as people strolled along the waterfront, wrapped up in coats.

Ar: نورة كانت تقف هناك، تستنشق الهواء بعمق، وتشعر بشيء من الحنين ولكن أيضًا بالخوف.
En: Noura was standing there, inhaling the air deeply, feeling a sense of nostalgia but also fear.

Ar: بعد سنوات من السفر والعمل في الخارج، عادت إلى الإسكندرية، إلى ذكريات منزلها القديم.
En: After years of traveling and working abroad, she returned to Alexandria, to the memories of her old home.

Ar: وصل فارس، شقيقها الأكبر، مبتسمًا.
En: Fares, her older brother, arrived smiling.

Ar: لقد كان دائمًا في المكان، يحافظ على روتينه، ويستمر في عمله كمدرس.
En: He had always been in the place, maintaining his routine, continuing his work as a teacher.

Ar: لكنه لم يفهم قط لماذا غادرت نورة أولًا.
En: But he never really understood why Noura left in the first place.

Ar: قالت نورة: "فارس، دعنا نمشي. ربما يمكننا أن نتحدث قليلًا."
En: Noura said, "Fares, let's walk. Maybe we can talk a little."

Ar: كانت الواجهة البحرية هادئة، ولكن قلب نورة لم يكن كذلك.
En: The waterfront was calm, but Noura's heart was not.

Ar: قالت: "كم اشتقت لهذه المناظر. هناك العديد من الذكريات هنا."
En: She said, "How I've missed these views. There are so many memories here."

Ar: أجاب فارس: "أجل، لكن، نورة، لماذا رحلت؟ ماذا كنت تبحثين عنه؟"
En: Fares replied, "Yes, but, Noura, why did you leave? What were you searching for?"

Ar: تسارعت دقات قلبها، وأجابته: "كنت أبحث عن نفسي. عن مكان أنتمي إليه."
En: Her heartbeat quickened, and she answered, "I was searching for myself. For a place I belong to."

En: Fares looked at the sea and said, "Sometimes we find what we are looking for here, in our homes, among those we love."

Ar: تعمق الحديث، وانكشفت التوترات القديمة.
En: The conversation deepened, and old tensions surfaced.

Ar: "لكن، فارس، ليس من السهل أن تكون مختلفًا في وسط عائلتنا التقليدية."
En: "But, Fares, it's not easy to be different in the midst of our traditional family."

Ar: ابتسمت نورة، رغم القلق.
En: Noura smiled, despite the anxiety.

Ar: كانت تعرف أن الحياة تركت فيهما آثارًا، لكنها كانت تأمل أن الترابط بينهما لا يزال قويًا.
En: She knew that life had left marks on both of them, but she hoped that the bond between them was still strong.

Ar: ثم قالت: "أظن أننا يمكننا أن نتعلم من بعضنا، أن نقترب رغم الاختلافات."
En: She then said, "I think we can learn from each other, to get closer despite the differences."

Ar: مدّ فارس يده، وقال: "وأنا مستعد لذلك، نورة. لندعم بعضنا البعض."
En: Fares extended his hand, and said, "And I am ready for that, Noura. Let's support each other."

Ar: بعدما انتهى الحوار، أعادت نورة النظر إلى البحر الواسع أمامها.
En: After the conversation ended, Noura looked back at the vast sea in front of her.

Ar: أحست براحة لم تعهدها منذ فترة طويلة.
En: She felt a comfort she hadn't known for a long time.

Ar: كانت تعلم أن أمامهما طريقًا طويلاً لإصلاح العلاقة مع العائلة، ولكن هذه كانت البداية.
En: She knew there was a long road ahead to mend the relationship with the family, but this was the beginning.
