Rebuilding trust: Burnout can often cause you to lose trust in your employer or colleagues, and it may take time to rebuild that trust. You may feel like you were not supported enough or that your employer did not take your burnout seriously. It's important to have open and honest communication with your employer about your needs and concerns. Supervisor support is key! ❗️ 3. Re-establishing boundaries: Returning to work after burnout requires you to establish new boundaries and stick to them. This may involve setting limits on your work hours, taking regular breaks, and prioritizing self-care. WOW - working on wellness time. 4. Adjusting workload: After burnout, it's important to ease back into your workload gradually. Trying to take on too much too soon can quickly lead to burnout again. You may need to have a conversation with your employer about your workload and make adjustments to ensure that you have a manageable workload. 5. Rebuilding confidence: Burnout can often leave you feeling unsure of yourself and your abilities. It's important to focus on rebuilding your confidence and self-esteem. Set small goals and celebrate your accomplishments, practice self-compassion, and seek support from colleagues and mentors.
