What is An Altar? An altar is an exalted place, mostly raised with stones raised orderly for the purposes of sacrifice unto God. An altar is raised off the ground to distinguish the exact place from the rest of the flat surface. Types of Altar There are two main types of altars which also defines the two main purposes of an altar;
1. The Altar of Sacrifice The altar of sacrifice is for burnt offerings unto God for various reasons. ie. Burnt offerings, Grain Offerings, Peace Offerings, Sin Offerings, and Guilt, reparation or an offering for making amend for wrong done.
2. The Altar of Incense The altar of incense is for prayers and supplications.
