This is based on a true documentation from a longtime hospice nurse named Bronnie, who took care of elderly patients in their last three to twelve weeks of life.
Bronnie, the hospice nurse, began noticing a common theme of great remorse among these precious people coming to the end of their lives...
In fact, most of Bronnie’s time was spent in silence sitting at the bedside of these elderly patients. So, she just began to journal their intimate conversations.
She said she realized with each of her patients that her role as a caregiver was more about listening to their “dying epiphanies” than anything else. It seemed like they each had more incredible clarity of vision than they had in their early years... They just needed an ear to listen and someone to share their deepest sorrows with.
