Scripture: Revelation 3:1-13, To the people of Sardis Jesus says that they appear alive, but are dead. He warns that He will come against them if they do not wake up. Those who are unrepentant soil their white garments, namely Baptismal garments, and must acknowledge their sin and repent. The people of Philadelphia are told that they will be vindicated because of their faithfulness. Even today there is a tendency to look down on those with little power.
