Scripture: Revelation 3:14-22 Ezekiel 1:4-28 Isaiah 6:1-6, The harshest of the seven church letters is given to Laodicea. They should see themselves as poor, blind and naked. But instead they say they are rich and need nothing! Christ would rather they hate Him than be "luke-warm". Verse 3:20 pictures Christ "coming to a believer", but his request to be received has a different meaning than commonly thought. Chapter 4, John's view of the exalted Lord, is introduced by reviewing three other extended descriptions of God in the Bible: Ezekiel 1, Isaiah 6 and Daniel 7. All are pictures of Jesus, because Yahweh cannot be seen by human eyes.
