In this sermon, we hear Jesus’ urgent wake-up call to the church in Sardis—and to us today—to move beyond appearances and pursue a genuine spiritual life. Though they had a reputation for being alive, Jesus saw their spiritual deadness. He calls them to wake up, remember the gospel, and rely on the Holy Spirit—the Giver of Life. To the faithful remnant, He promises white robes and the joy of being known by name before the Father.
