A brave North Melbourne have fallen to the Cats by 49 points at GMHBA Stadium.

Despite a competitive first three quarters of footy, the Roos were outclassed and outworked by Geelong, who proved too strong in the last quarter.

The Roos now move to an even ledger, sitting 4-4 at the end of round eight.
