If you go to any local gun store or bigger box store, there will likely be a multitude of handguns on display. With so many options, how can you ever decide on which one to choose? We learned several things in our testing of different 9mm pistols. The main thing is that first, you need to decide:

What purpose will this new handgun serve?

Each handgun in your safe also has a specific purpose! 

Are you looking for a pistol to take to the range and practice shooting? Are you looking for a home defense pistol to leave in a lock box by your bed? Do you need a handgun so you can complete your concealed carry class? Or, are you on the search for your next EDC?

On this episode, we take several friends and several different 9mm pistols to the range. We were testing to see if we could find a clear winner that each person thought was the BEST 9mm pistol. Shotguns come in all shapes and sizes. 

Some are double barrels, some are pumps, some are semi-automatic. 

Certain guns have shorter barrels, longer barrels, higher cheek combs, thicker recoil pads, or a slight cant on the stock. And don't even get me started on all the different choke tubes!

On this episode, Adrian takes the new Mossberg 940 Pro Waterfowl for a test drive. Initially, the gun definitely didn't fit her but it has all kinds of adjustments. We were able to work with it and make changes that hopefully made her more accurate!

This week we caught up with Tony Smotherman from Bergara Rilfes and BPI Outdoors after the Bergara Experience in Spencer, TN at Dead Zero Shooting Park. Tony is the head of influencer relations for BPI Outdoors and explains a little bit about his role as well as the Bergara company and rifles. If you've been around Review This Thing for very long, you know that we really like shooting out Bergara rifles as well as Adrian's CVA Cascade (which is also under the BPI umbrella). On Saturday July 30, Adrian and I were able to attend The Bergara Experience held at Dead Zero Shooting Park in Spencer, Tennessee. It was an absolutely wonderful event. They hold the event almost as a showcase of what their newest and fanciest rifles are able to do on the shooting range. If you're looking for a new rifle and want to check them out, this is a great event for you.

For $50 per person, not only were we able to shoot their rifles, but we had access to the people that make the rifles! Several of the Bergara staff were in attendance to answer any and all questions. They kept us all safe while we were shooting and at the same time gave us all kinds of information about the rifles we were sitting behind. Several of the attendees were novice shooters but with some instruction were still able to sit down behind the rifle and plink a steel target at 1,000 yards! Can you imagine that?? As a novice shooter, I was happy to hit a target at 100 yards much less 1,000!!
