It's the one you've all been waiting for as 2 Scots and an Englishman tackle the story (or not as the case may be!) of William Wallace in Mel Gibson's historical Scottish epic Braveheart! That of course means its 1995, a year at the heart of the Britpop scene with some cracking movies to match out in the cinema.
Alongside discussing the merits of Braveheart, its cultural impact and benefits to the Stirling tourism scene we also have a couple of rarities with a non-English language film in Il Postino (The Postman) and a children's film in Babe.
Emma Thompson makes her second podcast appearance with Sense and Sensibility, another British period drama - will this one charm us any more than all the others we've seen so far?!
And of course we're also looking back at Apollo 13, Ron Howard's docudrama about the disastrous space mission of the same name, led by Tom Hanks at the peak of his powers.

On this episode of 'Revisiting the Oscars' we're back to the mid-2000s for Scorsese's only Oscar win for 'The Departed'.
We may have recorded this at Christmas time but there's little Christmas cheer on show as the films we're talking about cover war, suicide and death by car accident, but don't worry - we'll do our best to brighten things up!
Films included on this pod alongside 'The Departed' are the globe spanning drama 'Babel', the aftermath of Princess Diana's death in 'The Queen', Clint Eastwood's Japanese war drama 'Letters from Iwo Jima' and a little independent road trip movie in 'Little Miss Sunshine'.
All this and the usual nonsense, banter and fun facts!

On this episode of 'Revisiting the Oscars' we're headed back almost 40 years to talk all things 1986 as we dissect the 5 movies nominated for 'Best Picture' that year!
Crocodile Dundee, Diego Maradona, Catchphrase and Top Gun were just some of the things making headlines in 1986, but what was happening at the Oscars....

All this and the usual nonsense and fun facts - who knew there was a Vatican Film List?!
