Jesus, all-knowing and wise, knew what awaited Him in Jerusalem on that Palm Sunday.  And He could’ve avoided it and went somewhere safe.  But, as Pastor John teaches today, He obediently went forward with God’s plan.  Jesus, though being praised by the people, sadly knew that everyone had the wrong expectations and desires for Him.  He mourned for the people, and He mourned for Jerusalem.  But, despite the pain to come, He knew the good that would come from His crucifixion and resurrection.

The religious leaders saw most of the miracles Jesus did among the people. You aren’t promised a perfect, easy life.  In fact, it’s quite the opposite.  The Bible says that you should expect trials and difficulties.  But, as you’ll learn today, this doesn’t mean that God doesn’t love you.  As you study what happened before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, Pastor John will encourage you to remember that God is in control of your circumstances.  While He permits hard things in your life, He has a purpose in them.  He allows them so that your faith can grow and He’ll be glorified.
