Being corrected is never easy.  Admitting wrongdoing requires humility, so most people prefer to avoid this.  They’d rather hear promises of wealth over sacrifice.  Or that their lifestyle and opinions are all ok with God as long as you’re happy.  These pastors are becoming increasingly popular because they teach only what people want to hear. This, as Pastor John points out today, is a sign of a false teacher.  People will flock to someone who makes them comfortable.  Be aware of these teachers. They’ll lead you away from God.

There was one great problem In the early church that was threatening to destroy it before it could begin – False Teachers.  They snuck in among the church.  They subtly spread destructive heresies.  They used similar words as believers, and they sounded sincere.  Yet, as Pastor John explains today, they were spreading poison among believers.  Like the early church, people today are prone to believe false teachers who preach a different gospel than the Bible.  Be aware of these con artists who can destroy eternal destinies.
