Judging by the scriptures, God will be asking us to do what He knows we cannot do if victory over sin is impossible. In Matthew 5:48, God desires to require us to be perfect as He is. Also in 1 Peter 1:15-16, the word of God says, “but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
In another scripture, God instructed believers to follow peace with all men and holiness without which no one can see Him (Hebrews 12:14). If you look carefully at the mentioned Bible references, you will agree with me that it is either victory over sin is possible or holiness is impossible...
