There are moments when motherhood is busy… And then there are moments when motherhood is BUSY… Having a newborn in the midst of motherhood is one of those BUSY seasons. Where the thought of being able to sit and have a moment with Jesus seems impossible. As parents, we can often feel defeated when we see our children struggling in a area of belief or even just feel stumped with their inquisitive minds. We can often feel like as Christian parents we need to have all the answers. But mama, God didn’t call you to have all the answers but instead you are called to point them to the One who does!

Hey mama, can I let you in on something? God doesn’t expect perfection out of you. You know what else? God knows your struggles. You don’t have to hide, you don’t have to pretend, you don’t have to shake it off but instead He wants you to run to Him. He wants you to keep getting back up and running to His Healing presence. So often we think that the righteous have to keep it together all the time.. But In proverbs the righteous man fell 70 times.. it’s what He did after He fell that made the difference.

I used to think intentional motherhood meant getting it all right, having it all together and going out of your way to make every moment matter, every moment perfect all while leaving room for little to no grace for myself.. I’m finding intentional motherhood looks quite different. Here is how I’ve come from weariness and going from striving to striving to thriving from glory to glory in my motherhood journey and something I started doing recently that has brought me peace in living intentional.

Motherhood is beautiful. Motherhood is a blessing. Motherhood is a kingdom calling. Motherhood is also tiring. Whether you’re in a season where you are up all night with a newborn, trying to navigate a new season, or going through something that isn’t in the norm of parenting but your story looks quite different. Mamas, the world has an agenda for your children. The entertainment industry has a agenda for your children. My question is do you? And are you displaying that agenda in what you allow in your home for your children to watch and listen to. The enemy is using entertainment all around us to reach our children and is even doing it through what would seem to be the most innocent shows. Are we mindful of this? Are we carrying the discernment that we need to guard our home and most importantly is our entertainment glorifying to the Father? Are we worshiping Him in what we watch, listen to and participate in? That’s what we’ll be talking about today friends!

I was feeling discouraged recently and even a little fearful knowing the world I was raising my kids up in..
