Fr. John continues this fall message series inviting us to seek the Lord while he may be found and place Him in the driver's seat of our lives.  God's way needs to be our way---faith helps us embrace and sustain that path despite the challenges in our lives.

God calls all of us to work in the vineyard.  This happens in different ways and different times.  We must always stay focused on our call and mission---and the graces given without looking at what others receive.  We should always celebrate God's abundant grace!!

Fr. John begins a new fall message series reflecting on the need to let Jesus be in the driver seat for our lives.  One of the key ways we surrender control and be a co-pilot with Christ is to embrace forgiveness, mercy and reconciliation.

How often are we supposed to forgive??  This is the question Peter asks Jesus.  The response---always.  The gospel this weekend is all about God's mercy towards us and our mercy towards others.  Can we be as generous as the Lord is?

The gospel this weekend calls us to initiate opportunities for reconciliation seeking to heal hearts and relationships while working together to help build the kingdom.  Fr. John offers the practical and powerful synodal method as a sign of following God's will as we seek to form disciples who reach out to all.

Fr. John concludes this summer August message series by inviting us to reflect on the call of disciples to deny themselves, take up their cross and follow him. He shares the examples of Jeremiah from the first reading and St. Paul in the second reading. All things are possible for God's glory and our salvation when we fully commit to God's eternal love.

Jesus challenges the disciples and each of us to deny ourselves, take up our cross and to follow Him.  The cost is high and the path challenging----but what a life!!!  Are we willing to follow the Lord and see things God's way?  Listen to find out more!!

Fr. John continues is the fourth homily of this series reminding all of us that in order to do the impossible---Jesus must be our best friend.  We need to give the Lord our hearts and trust Him like we do our close personal friends.  St. Peter makes a profession of faith in the gospel this weekend that comes from a heart that knows and loves Christ.  May we respond like Peter did---not only in words, but in actions each day!

Fr. John continues the message series reminding us that God's House is for outsiders and it is the role of parishioners and those who regularly attend Mass to reach out to those on the fringes bringing them to God's grace and joy.

Jesus brings the disciples to Cesarea Philipi---a centre of commerce and false gods.  In this context he asks the disciples an important question--WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?  This is a question we must answer.  If we respond that Jesus is Lord of our lives, he will empower us to help build his kingdom.  Are you ready to go?
