    From the very earliest class societies, women's oppression has been central to oppression in other areas of life, including in the workplace. But how is that the case? Why is that? And what can workers, socialists and union activists do to challenge this?
    This episode is a two-parter – so make sure to follow us and come back next week for the second part!
    In this part, we're going to focus on the origins of women's oppression and the Marxist classic from Friedrich Engels, "The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State".
    Next week, we'll cover the record of the Bolsheviks and past socialists organisations and movements, as well as the way forward for the feminist movement.
