Welcome to another sharing of life in ministry considering the need to rest, being in the wrong places that can be the right places, a wee journey through Hebrews 12 and a wonder at how people are so impatient in their cars.

It was a walk and talk one and the sound at the very start is little off but it is generally good throughout. I am impressed at tv people who can walk and talk and not sound like they are running up hill!

I am full of joy this week yet cognisant that next week is walking with others in grief and I am missing a friend.

Lots going on but my future is secure in God and that's all that really matters...

Welcome to the busy life of a parish Rev who needs to admit quietness isn't coming soon! But, hey, we keep going. In today's episode I am thinking family, church, compassion and discipleship. I have a wonderful family but it is just as much a handful as any other. And I have worked with three funeral families this week, each unique and special, along with thinking what it is to be part of a church family.

So thanks for listening to my ramblings and I hope it gives you an insight into the variety of ministry that I face. You'll all be waiting for me to have a quiet week and a short podcast!

Hey folks,

What a week it has been and I have been in meetings galore talking to lots and lots of people. A fabulous, challenging, thought provoking week. And by the way ordained 20 years this week - amazing!

So it is a long session today - sorry, not sorry - but I hope you enjoy hearing about my week in ministry. It has been exhausting I will say but a joy and a privilege.

Presbytery manners comes under discussion today...along with assemblies, remembrance and meetings about great work.

Enjoy! And catch you next week where I might have caught up with myself.

Sharing my absolute grateful thanks for the folks of Moncreiff, blessed as I have been by many others. But in a week where readings and conversations about been about sure foundations and being built together with Christ as the Cornerstone it seems appropriate.

So it has been a good week - I go off on a slight tangent (not unusual) about friendship and ministers, but also reflecting on the fact we are not solely responsible for it all. We build on others and others will build on us. And that knowledge is quite freeing.

Hope you enjoy the chaos and perhaps as November hits I can get more polished at this!

Welcome back - missed you all. Hope all is well with you. This week we take a wander through the week that was, new elders, pastoral care, property, people but also spend time considering resetting the minister.

There is talk about broken holidays and the need sometimes to give time away, but also considering when life has kind of pulled in on itself and how to broaden one's horizons.

There is a trip through scripture and a beautiful quote from a mystic. We are loved by God and measured by faith not works. And that folks, is reassuring. Anyway enjoy the conversation I have with you whether you are listening or not!
