The Rewind Episode 245 — A New Era Begins
After 90 episodes, The Rewind is changing.
We're pulling back the curtain this week to talk about the future of the show and why we've decided to pause The Rewind as a Pantheon-focused podcast and expand into the wider world of MMORPGs.
That does not mean we're done with Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. We still love the game, want it to succeed, and will continue covering the news and developments that matter. But with our frustration growing on the PTR and the major updates we've been waiting for still unfinished, we think it's time for The Rewind to evolve.
Welcome to the MMORPG Era of The Rewind.
We talk about what that change means for the show, reveal the new Static Group Live weekly schedule, and look ahead to our next major adventure: Monsters & Memories Early Access.
M&M launches October 1, and we're planning to hit it hard. We break down what excites us about its old-school tab-target combat, six-person groups, huge launch world and development team—as well as some concerns about the subscription, permanent Early Access characters and whether everything will be ready for launch.
Then we debut a brand-new Rewind segment:
THE LOGIN SCREEN
“Welcome to The Login Screen, where we tell you whether an MMO deserves your time—or just wants your wallet.”
Our first game is AION 2.
We break down what AION 2 actually is, its classes, five-player dungeons, ten-player raids, faction warfare, unrestricted flight and hybrid tab-target/action combat. Then we give our Top 5 Reasons to Play AION 2 and Top 5 Reasons NOT to Play AION 2, including its monetization and Korean-MMO progression systems.
Finally, Draq and Dymlos are joined by the Raid Team for our Top 5 Famous Chefs—and after 90 episodes, Draq may have finally won one.

The Rewind returns Saturday, October 10 at Noon EST with our Monsters & Memories Early Access episode.
The Pantheon chapter isn't over.
The world we're covering just got a whole lot bigger.
Podcast Summary:
This week, Draq and the crew planned to continue the Enchanter mastery discussion, but the show gets derailed by major Visionary Realms drama. We break down the timeline around Savanja being “on a break,” community speculation over Discord role changes, questions surrounding Nephele, and Rob Crane announcing that he is back as project manager.
The episode also looks at what Rob’s return could mean for transparency, production processes, crafting, future updates, and community trust. With Joppa publicly quiet during the situation, the crew talks through the questions many Pantheon followers are asking right now.
After the VR discussion, we hit the latest official Pantheon development update, then move into MMO news with the Twitch and Amazon AI training lawsuit story. Finally, we close things out with this week’s Top 5: Gaming Franchises That Deserve a Comeback, featuring picks from Draq, Dymlos, and the Patreon crew.

The Rewind Episode 243 — Enchanter Mastery Part 1: Mentalist
We're back! This week Dymlos takes center stage as we begin our two-part deep dive into Enchanter Mastery in Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen.
Part 1 is all about the Mentalist.
We work our way through the Mentalist Mastery path, discussing its Mez-focused abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and some of the choices Visionary Realms is asking Enchanter players to make.
The bigger question: Should an Enchanter really have to choose between Mez and Charm?
Pantheon's Enchanter draws inspiration from one of the most powerful and versatile support-class archetypes in old-school MMORPGs. With Mastery separating some of those defining abilities between Mentalist and Coercer, we discuss whether that creates meaningful specialization—or leaves each side feeling like half of an Enchanter.
We also cover the latest PTR patch, including the wipe and Level 20 boost, randomized stats on Uncommon loot, Wizard nerfs, the latest development work on Faerthale, new character customization work, and more.
Then we finish things off with our Top 5 Price Is Right Games.

Episode 242 of The Rewind finally takes a deep dive into Pantheon’s Wizard Mastery.
Draq breaks down the Elementalist and Spellblade paths, including AoE roots, Evac, self-rez, spell interactions, fire traps, portals, melee mechanics, invisibility, parries, and the increasingly infamous ninja-wizard direction.
We also discuss the newly released Enchanter Mastery, catch up on PTR Week 13, the level 50 PTR cap, the latest Visionary Realms development update, and more Joppa discussion from Discord.
In MMO News, Dungeons & Dragons officially announces a World of Warcraft campaign, and we finish the show with our Top 5 Game Shows.
