Rewind to 1984 episodes

  • Episode 42 - Third Week of October, 1984

This week on Rewind to 1984, we’re diving into the Billboard charts for 2024, where—unfortunately—there's not much movement in the Top 10. Will Shaboozey's "Tipsy" stay perched at #1 for a 14th straight week, or can Lady Gaga move to the top?  One thing’s for sure—I'm hoping for a shakeup. Sorry Shaboozey, but 13 weeks at #1 is crazy!

Back in 1984, the competition was just as fierce. Does Stevie Wonder see his way to #1 again, or does Billy Ocean ride the currents to #1 with Carribean Queen.

    1984 Extra:  38 Special - "Teacher, Teacher"

Artist Spotlight:  John  Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band

Moving to the movie scene in 2024, does "Terrifier 3" scare it's way to the top again, or does "Smile 2" slash its way to #1.  The batter of horror movies.

And of course, we’ll rewind back to 1984, where "Teachers" from Nick Nolte was #1 last week, can it hold on?  Wow Teachers had it hard in 1984, and even worse with social media in 2024.

Tune in for a fun ride through the charts—then and now—only on Rewind to 1984!
