Jim Taylor then shares a monthly visit with USDA Rural Development Director Betsy Dirksen Londrigan and starts the weekly commodity trading with insight from Joe Camp, CommStock Investments.

Friday’s show features a conversation with Mike Steenhoek from the Soy Transportation Coalition. He discusses the impact of a proposed three-month suspension of the federal fuel tax. We also talk House Ag Committee, Farm Bill and other issues with Illinois Congressman Rodney Davis. We finish the show with an update from the Illinois Corn Growers Association.

A packed Thursday show includes Illinois Farm Bureau President Rich Guebert. We learn about the new name for the Asian Carp from Illinois Department of Natural Resources Director Colleen Callahan. Illinois Congressman Darin LaHood checks in to discuss both local and federal issues. We also hear from Illinois Farm Bureau Member Engagement Manager Jenny Webb. We finish the show speaking with the Monmouth College President about a new ag business program being unveiled at the school.

Jim Taylor talks local Government with Illinois Farm Bureau and highlights the Allies in Agriculture program. We then learn about county farm bureau involvement in the Accelerate Illinois Broadband Infrastructure program with Peoria CFB member Kiersten Sheets and Kankakee CFB Manager Chad Miller. The show wraps up with a FCAE update from Casey Bolin.
