On this episode of RHAA Rewind, we hit rewind with 2020 Alumna Zehra Abdulla. Zehra reflects on her experience as an international student (and what that was like during a pandemic), the impact joining a student group had on her, and her decision to pursue a MBA in International Hospitality Management. Originally from Dubai, Zehra decided to pursue hospitality & tourism here at Ryerson after being immersed in extravagant weddings and parties all her life. Having a very limited social circle, Zehra began to use student group events to network and socialize; a concept quite foreign to post secondary institutions back home. This eventually led her to join RHTSS, where she made an impact on the group as an Event Director (2018), and eventually President (2019). Zehra's time in Toronto was cut short due to the pandemic, but that did not stop her aspirations, as she quickly enrolled at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, where in 2021 she earned her MBA in International Hospitality Management. Currently, Zehra holds the position of Leadership Protocol Coordinator at Expo 2020 Dubai; the youngest member on the Expo team. Here her journey and more as we hit rewind with Zehra Abdulla!
