Today has a bit of a time skip as we look at the Israelites moving in to the land that God has promised them.  

In today's episode, the Israelites leave Egypt - but there is still one last interaction with the Egyptians where God shows His power and HIs love.  

In today's episode, Moses and Aaron go to the Pharaoh to ask him to let the Israelite people go - but things weren't that simple. God shows His power and teaches us many things as He brings plagues on the people of Egypt.

Today, Moses sees something unexpected. And that leads him to a conversation with God that was full of lessons for him (and for us too!)

Today we're looking at Moses when he was a young man.  He made some mistakes, but God still used those to put him in a position where he could hear from God.  

All week this week, we're going to be looking at the life of Moses as we study Hebrews 11:23-27.  Today, we're getting some context for what happened to the Israelites after Joseph died and we're going to hear about the birth of Moses. 

Today we're talking about the life of Joseph and how his life teaches us an important lesson - the things that we are difficult, or scary, or evil are still things that God can use for good!

Today we pick up with Jacob in a very different time in his life - a time when he's giving blessings to his own sons.  And through this, we see Jacob's faith and how God has worked in his heart.

Today's passage from Hebrews talks about Isaac and the blessings he gives to his sons Jacob and Esau. But, as with most things, this doesn't go the way anyone really expects and it shows that God is the ultimate hero of the story.

Today's lesson from Hebrews 11 takes a little bit of a weird turn. We see God asking Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, his son!! What seems strange is ultimately a story that teaches us about trusting God, even when it is difficult and, even better, how this is a picture of what Jesus would do for us!
