This event was organized by Victoria Husemeyer, Niki Michaelides & John Kelsey. As its name states it is in opposition to the invasion, occupation and escalation of war in Syria by Western forces and their allies in the region. This had to be edited because - being the genius I am - I forgot to to turn my mic on after a break. What you will hear are the audible answers to my inaudible questions. Nevertheless, I didn't want to miss out on the wonderful insights provided by this coverage, so we decided to air this.

The Hands Off Syria group in London writes: "it is time to put an end to illegal regime change wars. Only Syrians have the right to decide who their leader is. They did so in 2014 in free and fair elections and they chose Assad. Only an election by Syrians is a valid way to choose a leader for Syria.

We are fighting a propaganda war. This war is no different from all the others- Gulf of Tonkin, Pearl Harbour, communists, WMDs, Gadaffi is killing his people, Milosevic is committing genocide.... every single one of these is a lie or a false flag. 

The arms industry is soaking up money that should be used for schools, roads and hospitals. We won't stand for these atrocities anymore!"

The United States launched attacks against the Syrian army Wednesday evening in response to the recent chemical attack that killed 70 people in Syria, which Washington and most Western countries blame on the government of Bashar Assad. Some 59 Tomahawk missiles were launched from U.S. Navy warships in the Mediterranean Sea, a U.S. official told Reuters speaking on condition of anonymity. A target was identified as an airbase in Homs, Syria."
