The group's childhood home is mere blocks from the brick and mortar record store located on Girard Ave. It's not uncommon to spend an afternoon in the shop and encounter someone who either grew up with a Thompson, got schooled on a basketball court by one of the brothers at the 26th and Master recreation center, or had the pleasure of hearing them sing at a Vaux Jr High School talent show or The Big Dollar bar and music venue.
