Today on Holy Shiftballs we are joined by two amazing powerhouse women, Marlene Sharp and Judi Uttal
Marlene Sharp is a Los Angeles–based producer, writer, and story editor and the founder of Pink Poodle Productions, she brings creative and business savvy to projects across animation, television, and media consulting.
Marlene currently serves as producer, story editor, and writer on the animated series MONGLY SYNDROME: K-POP ODD COUPLE, and has collaborated with organizations including Autism in Entertainment, Spectrum Laboratory, and GameU. Previously, she was Director of Production at LEVEL-5 abby and a producer at Sega of America, where she worked on Sonic Boom and contributed to the first Sonic the Hedgehog feature film.
A passionate advocate for the autism community, Marlene champions neurodivergent talent through initiatives like the Laugh Factory’s neurodivergent comedy nights. She is also an award-winning filmmaker and freelance journalist covering pop culture.
We are also joined by Judi Uttal… a dynamic Neuro divergent community advocate who’s not just talking about inclusion in entertainment—she’s actively rewriting the script.
As the founder of Autism In Entertainment, Judi is creating real pathways for neurodivergent talent to step into the spotlight, from major conferences to industry-changing initiatives that are opening doors where there used to be walls.
Judi brings both strategic expertise and heartfelt purpose to her work baed on her lived experience as a mom of a son who was diagnosed with High-Functioning Autism at the age of three. Josh has since graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a major in Cinema and Television.
Together Marlene and Judy are heading up two amazing events to bring awareness to the neurodivergent community an Autism Event Fundraiser at the Upstairs Comedy Club in Los Angeles on March 29th and a comedy festival called “Netflix is a Joke, Laughs on the Spectrum” being held on May 4th in Los Angeles.
