Amos calls out the wealthy for living in luxury while the poor suffer (Amos 6:-17). Paul advises Timothy to reject the pursuit of worldly wealth and “be rich in good works” (1 Timothy 6:6-19). Jesus tells a parable reproving a wealthy man for failing to help the poor man at his gate (Luke 16:19-31). The message of Scripture is clear - are we willing to listen?
