Grace Abounds

God’s grace changed Martin Luther’s life, and inspired him to proclaim the gospel of Christ Jesus in ways that reformed the church and transformed the world. How has God’s grace changed your life? How might you share God’s grace with others?

The elites ask Jesus where you should place your value. As Martin Luther said, “...anything upon which you hang your heart and rely, I say, is really your God.” Therefore I ask, on what do we hang our hearts?

The “Parable of the Wedding Banquet,” told by Jesus (Matt 22:1-14), does not sound like good news. It’s filled with violence and vengeance and the ‘weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ It seems to contradict the biblical narrative, filled with love and healing and forgiveness, that surrounds it. What are we to do with this startling story?

God created us as cultivators of the earth. There are so many seeds we can plant, seeds of love, hurt, fear, hope. What will you decide to cultivate? What will it yield?

Peter asks Jesus, “...how often should I forgive?” and Jesus responds, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.” (Matthew 18:21-22). Easy enough to say, but the journey to forgiveness can be a long and challenging one. How do we reconcile this journey?***********Join us In-Person or Online for Worship Sundays at 9:15am and 11:15am.Find out more about upcoming events and ways to serve our community by joining our mailing list. “That’s not fair!” grumble the first-hired workers in the Parable of the Vineyard (Matt 20:1-16) - and perhaps we agree with them. But what does it mean to get a fair share when it comes to God’s limitless love and boundless generosity? The perspective Jesus offers in his parable might surprise you. **********Join us In-Person or Online for Worship Sundays at 9:15am and 11:15am.Find out more about upcoming events and ways to serve our community by joining our mailing list. Jesus Christ, equal with God, humbled himself “assuming human likeness”. (Philippians 2:6-7) What does this mean for us, as disciples of Christ who are made in the image of God? Life, relationships, and churches are often filled with conflict. How are Christians to respond when conflicts arise? In his teaching (Matt 18:15-20), Jesus offers helpful and practical wisdom for resolving conflicts, healing relationships, and building healthy communities.

Mary was a poor, young woman from a small, unremarkable village. Mary was also the mother of Jesus, God incarnate, the Savior of the world. Mary reminds us that we are all ordinary, extraordinary people, and it is ordinary, extraordinary people we are called by our Savior to love.Join us In-Person or Online for Worship Sundays at 9:15am and 11:15am.

When the new king was promised, many expected glory and power. What they did not expect was a shepherd leading his flock; a shepherd that would protect his sheep with his very life. This is what Christ’s reign looks like.
