This week on another edition of Lacrosse Classified, we continue our Stampede Tack NLL team previews with the Halifax Thunderbirds, who recently moved from Rochester, and the New England Black Wolves. Curt Styres and Rich Lisk join the show.
First up is the owner and general manager of the Halifax Thunderbirds, Curt Styres. We discuss the move to Halifax, why we believe Halifax is going to be a great market for the team, and the canoe trip from Rochester to Halifax. We also talk about their off-season acquisitions, the departure of their head coach, Mike Hasen, their recent draft picks, and the injury bug that affected the Iroquois Nationals, for whom Styres was the general manager.
Secondly, we speak with Rich Lisk, general manager of the New England Black Wolves, who receives news mid-interview that a trade has concluded just before the interview started for Tony Malcolm. We talk about the expansion draft losses, the deal to get Jordan Durston and how he will mesh with 1st round pick Andrew Kew, the potential that Jarrod Neumann has in the NLL and how a six game home stand and fewer Sunday home games is going to affect the Black Wolves this season.
As always a big thank you to our partners, Pure Vita Labs and Associated Labels and Packaging.
