Frank Bowers has a half interest in a gym and invites Richard Diamond to a fight tonight to watch his boy Max Farmer box against Lou Scott a bum from upstate. Max Farmer is favorite to win so it is a surprise to Frank when Farmer loses and he is convinced it was a fix and asks Richard Diamond to investigate. It is more of a surprise to Diamond when Frank Bowers seemingly commits suicide.
