For our second edition of TRILOGISTS we figure we might want to discuss an ACTUAL trilogy and we might already have a contender for “Best Trilogy” that we’ve reviewed so far. It’s Valentines time so we’re already in the feeling but this romantic tale has no holiday obligation. The dude doesn’t even have money in the first movie. HE’S A BUM AND SHE’S MADE OF FRENCH PORCELAIN. Richard Linklater’s 1995 romance “Before Sunrise” might be one of the most convincing love stories captured on film and the follow ups of “Sunset” and “Midnight” over the course of 18 years have their own special charms as well but being middle aged is certainly different than fucking in a park one magical night in Vienna when you were 23. Will George Romero’s Living Dead trilogy get dethroned?
