During the height of the pandemic only 1 sport was still playing and that was golf. That to a lot of families spending time out on the greens. Assistant Tournament Director/ Operations Manager at Tri-State PGA Andrew Wood joined Rick to talk about youth tournaments prizes and growth of the sport. 

With the expansion of its mission, Folds of Honor now is working to
help the families of First Responders the same way they have for
military families since 2007. Crystal Popella, a board member for the
Western PA Chapter of Folds of Honor, joined Rick Friday afternoon to
talk about how they help raise money through a bunch of different
fundraisers in the Pittsburgh area.

Allegheny County Controller Corey O'Connor runs an office responsible
for financial oversight in the County. But this week, O'Connor
announced a program to help young people relieve financial burdens
levied by the court system. Twenty-seven people will split the $50,000
private grant funds given to the Controller's office. Controller
O'Connor explained how it will help the recipients move on with their
lives.

Social Media impact on the youth, families facing high deductibles, Ken Rice from KDKA-TV

Researchers at the University of North Carolina are on the cutting
edge of research to capture changes in brain function as it relates to
years of social media usage. Maria Maza, a graduate student and
co-author of the study published in JAMA Pediatrics earlier this
month. She tells Rick Dayton about the work and what they learned from
the brain scans done on teenagers in North Carolina.
