In this episode Rick and Steve discuss that because of our new nature in Christ, forgiveness is now a part of our identity. Because of His forgiveness it is now an expression of who we are.

Rick and Jeremy discuss how the modern church has emphasized morality over relationship with God. Religion teaches that we have the right to hold onto past hurts and demand justice over forgiveness. Forgiveness may be extended, but trust must be reestablished through this process.

Jeremy talks about his own journey to freedom from the idea of being saved just to a get ticket to heaven and moving into the understanding that God desires a relationship with us. And that this relationship requires believing God has taken away all your sins.

Rick and Jeremy talk about how forgiveness is core to our relationship to God, and how unforgiveness can rob us of our joy and peace. We must use the gift of forgiveness as we relate to others.

Charles talks about finding the Grace message and how he has been greatly impacted by teachers like Andrew Farley, John Lynch and Tullian Tchividjin.

Charles Castillo and Rick talk about how the church today has become pharisaical in that many church leaders demand total obedience to denominational teachings.

Rick’s guest today is Charles Castillo. He tells us how he came to Christ and felt God had called him to be a pastor. But Charles became disillusioned that what he was being taught at the bible colleges he attended was not the same as what he was reading in scripture. His questions for clarity got him into a bit of trouble with leaders of the schools. 

When we believe, we become the temple and our hearts become the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. We enter into a new relationship with God. You can never please Him more, and you can never get any closer to God than you are right now, because He lives in you.
