Our published Mission Statement is: Our mission is to inspire and equip each person by providing practical tools and ongoing training for more effective living. That is what I tell people if they ask.

Our unpublished, behind-the-scenes, Mission Statement is: “I want to take the Gospel to every person on the planet, and I want to live twenty-five years after I die.” That is our real mission statement. That statement clearly identifies the two most important reasons why I do what I do.

You probably won’t find a guy at the local Barnes & Noble looking for a book on how to get a girl. It’s an unnecessary thing for a guy to do because all guys know what they need to do to get a girl.

Getting a girl is part of our internal wiring. The LORD knew our limitations so He preempted our problem by giving us a Get-a-Girl Upgrade. Praise God for that. Even the thickest headed guy will eventually win a girl. It’s not that hard.

Lucia and I have always been best friends. From the moment we met, we clicked. There was hardly a time we didn’t enjoy each other. Though we had a few common interests there were more things that were uncommon between us. These differences did not matter because of our desire to be together.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a phenomenon that continues to rise. Its last boost came during the Valentine’s Day season (2015) with the opening of the movie, based on the book. The next boost is Valentine's 2017 with Fifty Shades Darker. It is no surprise that our culture—Christian and non-Christian—is all a-buzz about these books and movies.
