Lifecycle returns to Threads to host the first Ricochet Records show for 2021, flexing his mixing muscles with a high-intensity 3-deck mix, bringing pure techno energy to the mix alongside Ricochet’s signature broken tech sound

BONUS 2021 NEW YEAR SHOW! Threads Radio is on brief hiatus whilst they take down their xmas decorations. Didn’t want to leave the Ricochet crew without their monthly dose of breakbeats. Can’t remember the labels for a bunch of tracks I played so the tracklist below is a bit patchy. I might stop doing them altogether, it was something of a hangover from when internet radio was trying to be all above board and pay royalties to the artists being spun. The music scene seems to have agreed that no artist will ever make any money ever again from streaming and so the few pence these podcasts generate are under less scrutiny. Not writing down the tracklist means I can up intensity of the mixes and be more fully absorbed into the wheels of steel. So, this may be the last tracklist. Throwback to 2010 with two live recordings from 10 years ago, when Ricochet hosted a series of autumn label nights at Shoreditch electronica den The Gramaphone (RIP). Featuring two sets from Lifecycle (straight-up breakbeat from the inaugural October set, followed with a techno-inspired mix from the November 2010 show), bridged by November’s guest mix from ADJ (AI / Touchin’ Bass), dropping electronica sounds from his Pyramid Transmissions label through the Gramaphone’s impressive bassbins.
