Often when your partner is pushing your buttons, it’s because they’re struggling and looking for an outlet. They have lost control and are trying to find their way. It takes time to become aware of, and eventually immune to, The Power Struggle. Breaking the mold of “traditional” (old-fashioned) relationship roles. “Breadwinner” syndrome. Learning the dance and respecting each other’s role in parenting, in the relationship, and in business. January is the biggest month for the divorce rate - get through the holiday season! Timing is everything! Learn to identify where your partner’s focus is and ride the wave until the timing is more appropriate. Understand when and how each other learns and recharges their power. Don’t give away your power! Avoid comparing yourself on social media or at dinner parties. Everyone shows off their bells and whistles, and most people hide their failures and weaknesses. Don’t fall into that trap! Remember, even in your weakest moments, that you’re both committed.
