We have a tendency view the life just in front of us, and we can see God working in that narrow view. But sometimes what we're praying for in our narrow view, is contrary to what someone else is praying in the broader view. That's why "My present story only makes sense in light of a future narrative (and other present narratives)."

The decisions we make today, like going to the gym and what you eat (and so many more), affect the story we tell tomorrow.

Individually, a piece of a 300 piece puzzle is incredibly imperfect and insignificant. But when added to the bigger picture (the other 299 pieces), its imperfections fade and its significance increases, especially to the person completing the puzzle. That's why, "The value of your story is only understood in the picture of the greater story."

Psalm 66:16 says, "Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me." When we share what God has done for us, it is a form of worship. And according to Michael Mathews, "Our testimony is our biggest source of worship."
