This show is all about the 90s british alternative indie/punk/rock scene.
A broad genre we know but that's the nature of good music and we here at Riff Monkeys HQ are not shy of stepping outside the box.
On the show are such luminaries as Skunk Anansie, Mansun with 808 State, Daisy Chainsaw, The Super Furry Animals, Carter USM, Compulsion and the Senseless Things.
So join us and let us shine a light on some of the music you may have missed from the musically wonderful 1990s in the U to the K.

Tonight's episode of Riff Monkeys is the last of three shows focusing on British alternative electronic punk, dub, Ragga, drum and bass collective known as the Asian Dub Foundation. Politics you can dance to. Such an amazing and critically underrated band that I just had to do a show (or 3) about them. Never has a band spoken to me as much as the ADF and i really hope they hit a chord with all you.
Hello you lucky people. In tonight's show join me, Bryan Wells, as I bring you part 2 of the Asian Dub Foundation special and hear some of the best music I personally have ever heard in my life.
From the raw politics, genius lyricism and award winning "Community Music" and the groundbreaking and forward thinking "Enemy of the Enemy" to the hard hitting metamorphosis that is "Tank". With Collaborations such as Sinead O'Connor, Ghetto Priest and Adrian Sherwood of On U sound system.
It's gonna be a veritable treat for your ears and as the anarchist Emma Goldman once said "If I can't dance, It's not my revolution"
Enjoy.
Tonight's episode of the Riff Monkeys podcast is the final of our 3-part Smashing Pumpkins specials. And what a show we got for you. It's slightly longer than usual because we had a lot of music to squeeze in so sit back and relax as my good friend Kenny Lyon and myself dive into the strange and wonderful world of Mr Billy Corgan and Co.
WARNING. High doses of Alternative rock that may change your perspective of contemporary music forever.
The Riff Monkeys are Bryan Wells Wells (djfreaklips), Sami James and Kenny Lyon.
New shows EVERY week where we chat about the best music known (or unknown) to man and beast, and occasional band specials (like this one) to highlight the back catalogues of amazing overlooked music in a world full of Pop icon emptiness.
Real Music by Real People, Cheers. The Riff Monkeys gang
This week's episode is all about the first 2 albums by the incredibly powerful British/Asian punk/rock/Ragga/Jungle/Dub/drum and bass collective known as the Asian Dub Foundation.
This Band helped shape my musical tastes and influenced me immensely throughout the 90's and 2000's and still stay strong to this very day.
So if you like conscious lyrics and political statements in your music and like to have a nice dance doing so then tune in tonight and you can hear for yourself exactly why the ADF are one of Great Britain's best kept secrets.
