Last year, RightScale and Zend introduced a solution to provide a best practices path to launching and maintaining PHP applications on the cloud. Lead generation company Mediaspike quickly deployed this solution to take advantage of the pre-configured autoscaling and high availability features built into the RightScale Zend HA Solution Pack. On March 7, we held a discussion on Mediaspike’s experience with this new cloud solution from RightScale and Zend and how they were able to: provision a pre-configured, high availability PHP environment in minutes; autoscale their application based on system and application load metrics; receive system, server and application-level monitoring, alerting and diagnostics; and easily port applications across cloud providers, such as Amazon and Rackspace.
